How do I download a sound device for my computer?

I have a laptop and bought these new portable speakers that only require a USB. When i plugged them in, they did the normal automatic software download. However, when i opened up windows media player, the music was playing out of my normal pc speaker. I went to sound properties on my computer and clicked on "playback" which gave me a list of my sound devices. One was my pc speaker, another was the headphone jack, and the third was my new hp speakers. I clicked on the hp speakers and the other two sound devices disappeared. Now, the speakers work, but anytime I want to use headphones, I can't. I did locate the sound devices on my computer. It tells me they are active, however I can't figure how to use them. Or how to switch back and forth from the speakers to headphones. Please help!

I'm about to go to college and I'm looking for a laptop case that will provide superior protection for my 13" MacBook Pro. How can I entertain my little cousins while camping in the backyard?

Alright, my little cousins, who are 5 and 7, are coming over in two days and we're going to have a sleepover where we set up a tent and sleep in the backyard. Am i having night terrors? ?

Ok I am 17 years old, and ever since I can remember my dreams have always been nightmares, but worse. I feel as if I am really there or sometimes Im just watching but can't do anything about it. It always has to do with someone I know or myself dieing. for example, last night I had stayed the night at my boyfriends house and I was the only one sleeping upstairs and In the dream I was just laying in bed looking around the room like I couldn't sleep, then the door starts shaking violently n I jump up against the wall then the walls start shaking n I grab my ears to block out the sound then it stops n the door swings open n there's a face, it flies towards me n goes straight through me n out he wall behind me. I run down the stairs but fall n cut my knee. at the bottom of the stairs there's a window I see a scary looming man n I run to the couch where my boyfriend is n Im trying to wake him up but he don't move I turn around a scream trying to get someone to wake up that's when I woke up to me screaming, crying, heartracing, chest hurting n out of breath, frantically checking my knee. n running downstairs to check on my boyfriend. I remember them as if it had really happened every horrible detail. I've been sitting in a truck n get shot in the chest n watch myself die. I've had to call friend at 3 in the morning panicing thinking they were hurt. it only happened every few months, Im fine after I realize it didn't really happen. but I really wanna know why I do this or what causes it. can anyone help me??

This is a random and odd question but oh well. I am taking these two bedrocks out from around two trees we are cutting down. I got a portable hard drive, and installed the sims + expansion packs. My dad wiped the hard drive thinking it was his own, and now that i've re installed the sims, it won't let me open the launcher, or TS3 delphy helper monkey. It just says I should tell microsoft about this error. BLA. I've had this before with just the launcher but I forget how it's fixed? Please help. .. How to remove the propane smell out of a tank?

I have an old propane tank that I have emptied completley removed the valve, and am in the process of converting it into an air caddy, (portable air tank). There is nothing at all left in this tank, I have filled and emptied it with water a half dozen times but the smell of propane is still in there, any clue as to what to use to remove the smell I dont want to use it if the air coming out of it smell like propane im scared if it smells like propane it could still be flammable on some level, I am still treating it as if it is flammable fumes cause im sure if I still smell it there is got to be some left although unlikely cause of all the water ive been putting in and out.

Ok, general rule of thumb here, never, ever, EVER overclock a laptop. Laptops lack adequate cooling to achieve stable overclocking. At least you're using EVGA precision and not messing with the voltages, you really can't screw things up very badly with that program. 55C is really high for just browsing the web, if I were you, I would turn it back down and deal with it. If you really must overclock, make sure you have one of those laptop cooling pad thingys and always have it sitting on that, then clock it down when you take it somewhere. I personally think, and much of the computer world agrees, that its really a bad idea to overclock anything on a laptop. Also, what do you mean by "wouldn't be the end of the world" if you killed your GPU? You can't replace the video card in nearly every laptop ever made, so if you kill it, your laptop is bricked.

Can I download a program to an external HD?

have a WD 1TB external (portable) HD, it is fully formatted NTFS for Windows, USB 2.0 - basically plug & play. I have downloaded Realplayer to this HD and it works just fine as long as it is attached to my desktop. When I plug the external into another computer however, it says Realplayer isn't installed. What am I doing wrong? I figured since the computer sees it as a workable hard disk drive I could put program files on it. Do I need to install an OS? If I change the "sharing" properties to allow sharing will this help?

Portable generator has low power output?

Why did I get in trouble when my friend shoplifted and I had no idea?

What kind of insect is this?

I saw an insect that I have never seen before. I have lived in this area for about 40 years and this was a first. It loomed like a stretched out bumblebee! Almost like a mix of a bumblebee and a hornet! It's back (or thorax) was hairy, it had a bee or wasp type head, but it abdomen was the strange thing. The abdomen started out long but then flattened out to resemble a shrimp's tail! Coloration was like a bumblebee. The wingswere extremely long, possibly at least an inch per wing. Wheni saw this insect it was going from flower to flower. Every now and then itwould fly at me, as if warning me to stay back. Any ideas on what species this is? I live in Northern Kentucky.

How do i deal with working with horrible co workers and a bad boss?

i know there it is really hard to find jobs out there, but i am going insane. I remind myself every day that I am lucky to have a job. that is the only think that keeps me going to this place still. i have been at my place for about 7 years. for the most part every one got along. now it seems that people are unhappy and taking it out on one another. i have been miserable for about a year now. i never really had a problem with people there, now, i can't stand some of them. it started when this a****** got hired there and immediately befriended the maneger. because of this guy, our good boss that we all liked got canned. he started bossing everyone around before he got promoted. he has thrown myself and many others under the bus to make him self look good. myself and seven other people tried talking to the maneger. since this guy is his favorite, he wouldn't hear it. out of fear, we kept our mouths shut and put up with it. this guy makes everyone's life hell, but there are no jobs out there. the manager is a cold hearted prick. now co workers are arguing to each other. i have seen people treat each other badly. i have also been treated rudely by other co workers that i have know for years. it's like we can't stand each other or our boss anymore. the moral is low because another lay off is always looming near. not only is it a bad place to work, but i also have to fight to keep my job. I have been secretly looking for another job for about six months now. I have had not one call. i can't stand this place anymore. i know that when the economy picks up, people will drop out like flies. i am sick of this place, and the kiss a** prick who wants to be in charge.

I've had my share of long term boyfriends, been married, had a child, divorced, then a few more long-term relationships, turned down several proposals, then I met the perfect man (for me anyways-nobody's perfect). Now things are more complicated, both divorced each with a daughter, and we recently moved in together. I don't pressure him or ask about marriage because he was married to an older woman he met in college for 12 years (and raised her 2 children from her previous marriage). We've had some small speed bumps, but overall it's been fantastic! I've never been happier! Call me old fashioned, but I think I deserve that romantic proposal that I've always dreamed of- and one I can say YES to! Fetal movement in ultrasound?

Im 10 weeks 5 days pregnant. at 10 weeks and 1 day pregnant I had a lengthy ultrasound at the hospital and my baby was moving a lot! it moved its arms and legs, its head, everything! but today my OBGYN did a quick ultrasound on the portable ultrasound machine just to check babys heart...and the heartbeat was normal but this time i didnt see the baby move at all. Why is that :( is it because it was a crappier ultrasound machine? or the baby was sleeping? It was just kinda frightening to me that I just saw it moving like crazy a few days ago and today it was completely still, but my doctor had no concerns.

Will a brand new portable DVD player (manufacture sealed) be a problem thru security? It's a gift.?

I am flying with only carry-on luggage and would like to bring my nephew's grad gift which is a portable DVD player. I am worried security will need/want to open it. I am really worried for my 10 yr old sister because pretty much every dinner has something dramatic going on. We are not a lower class family, we live in a very nice neighborhood with a large house and no gangs in the neighborhood, but I don't understand why we can't just be normal without the drama going on. I want us to be able to have light, fun conversations like we used to because now there is just kind of a dark cloud looming over our house all the time. Sometimes guys do stupid crap! Does it make it right? Hell no! I totally understand how it feels to have someone who you never thought would hurt you, do that to you. Yes ok the pics weren't sexual but the whole thing was inappropriate and shouldn't have happened in the first place. It will take you a while to get over this and the only way you can get over this fully is if he proves he can be trusted again. He has to realize he has broken your trust and it will take time to earn it back. Earning it back will mean you have access to his emails and social networking passwords etc. In a marriage there is no privacy, your partner should have access to everything to see whenever they want and vice versa. If over time you can see he isn't doing anything and is dedicated to righting his wrongs then you will start rebuilding trust again and these hurt feelings will slowly go. I hope that helps.

Making a portable AC adapter?

Minecraft lagging problems?

When I play minecraft on single player it will be all fine and everything works fine. But when i play on multiplayer i will say something in chat and it will take 10-20 seconds to appear. Also i tested this by falling from the sky to the bedrock and then i was walking around for a few minutes then finally died. Also when other players are around me they will say they are right next to me and yet i don't see anything. And yes i've tried disconnecting it has nothing to do with it. Man this is like trying to pound a square into a circle with some of these guys. Without using a thousand charecters attempting to justify nonsense, how are these options different? What is the difference between having an 18 day cut off written in your contract, and a commision with their presence looming over you 24 hours a day deciding not to test within that time frame? People keep arguing the effectiveness of testing, blah blah, that doesn't negate the FACT that the comission could have tested either up to the date which makes a contracted cutoff date not as effective as random up to date.. do you get it yet?

To me tablets, smart phones and e readers are waste of money because a laptop can do everything those devices can do and more. I would rather buy a normal cell phone than a smart phone because in my opinion phones should be just for making calls if I want to go on the internet I'll just use my laptop.I like e readers because they encourage children to read because they provide easy access to a wide variety of books however you can download and read ebooks on your laptop so e readers are a waste of money. Last but not least tablets are a complete waste of money because laptops are greatly superior to them. Tablets are only more portable than laptops but other than that they suck. Laptops have way better processors and way more free space. Tablets only have 32gb of space while there are laptops with 500gb hard drives.
