What happens to water as the water passes through the Zone of aeration?

I'm doing an earth science project and i am stuck on this question. Alright In a Paragraph form, write a description of what happens to the water as the water passes through the Zone of aeration first then where does the water accumulates. Be sure that your description includes all of the components of the groundwater system. ( zone of aeration, the water table, zone of saturation and Impermeable bedrock)
