How to hook up a game system to my portable DVD player?

Well, it only has output A/V slots, but is there any way I could hook up my old gaming systems (SNES, genesis, they have standard A/V cables, not RFs) through a series of adapters? I'm willing to spend up to $20 for everything, I'm pretty new to this and would appreciate the help.
