Book name.................?

i was at the library today and didnt have time to check out this book i started reading. the title is something like breaking free from bedrock of escaping bedrock orsomething. i dont know of the name was bedrock. its about this 81 year old women, whose husband died and her family sent her to this assisted living care place and she pops pills ALL the time which is why the sent her there. and shes writing down her story so that when shes dead they (her family) will read it and feel guilty. the entire story is from her point of view and at the beginning it says that she is writing in a blank bible-thick book with a purple pen that is all squishy so it doesnt her her fingers. this is all from her granddaughter who gets to her last nerve. 10 points to best answers!
