Changing styles of underwear?

Been mostly a boxer guy. Wore briefs seldom (sports). Noticed most of my guy friends is now wearing boxerbriefs. Talked to a few of my girls that are my friends they agreed that boxerbriefs are cool. Went out a few days ago and bought some fruit of the loom boxerbriefs. I love the feeling. Been told now that I should buy them 1 size smaller so they will be tight. What brand and color are peoples favorites.
