Does ant one know if the Megadrive LCD Portable Games Console is any good for a 4yr old?

i want to get my boy a console for his 4th bday he wants a ds but i want to c if he will actually play with a console 1st so im buying a cheaper console game to try out 1st. i want one that full of games and not just learning games
