How can I power a three pronged 120 volt power plug with a car battery?

I'm sure this can be done but I can't find any information on how to go about this. We want to be able to plug a small power strip into the main plug that would be attached to the car battery. If anyone knows any other means of semi-portable power that can accomplish this voltage, I'd appreciate the info. Thanks!
