Why are Republicans forced to resign far more often then Democrats win they get in trouble?

Their has been 2 photo scandals lately and Weiner was not force to resign but the other guy was. I can't remember the other guys name but he took a picture of himself in front of a mirror and when the pressed found out he was forced to resign. It just seems like the right gets punished harder than the left in these incidents. This question is not intended to be an insult on the left and in all honesty I am glad he did not resign on his own because I feel politicians who do that are giving up their jobs to easily. They call his actions pornography but we have little girls on commercials advertising Fruit Of The Loom underwear commercials.
