American Christians, Is what we are seeing politically in our country a precursor to 2 Thessalonians ch. 2?

It seems those who have the truth can clearly see presently strong delusion already transpiring in America politically. In the face of all kinds of evidence that Obama is destroying America within yet they feel he is doing a good job. Overseas threats are looming and will challenge our very U.S. Constitution yet they are oblivious to it. Christians, what are your thoughts? Is the 2 Thessalonians ch. 2 delusion beginning to happen? The anti-Christ may be soon on the horizon.
